Kentucky Blue Grass Canvas Print

Sometimes when I am working on a piece I have a memory of something out of the past.

When I was a kid things were a little strange. We moved a lot with fathers job. On one such move we were in a house with no lawn. It must have been new as the entire yard was dirt.

Moving around like that was somewhat boring so I was in the habit of listening in on the adult talk. One conversation center around the lawn and what sort of grass they would plant.

For whatever reason my father was stuck on Kentucky Blue grass. Keep in mind I was probably six years old. But this was going to be the best thing that had happened in a while. Blue grass! I couldn't wait. I carefully watched the whole process. The raking and leveling. Seeding and rolling. And the most important part the watering.
