As the new year unfolds one question looms large in my mind. Why? Why is it that of all the species on earth, we humans have the most trouble getting along?
Why are so many of our problems our own creation?
I was told as a child that we are entering the Age of Aquarius, a time of enlightenment and I thought I knew what that meant.

What a powerful image Val! Those tiny trees atop those skyscrapers (that's what I see!) speak to me of our present society: Materialism and profit before nature and the environment. The fact that those trees survive in spite of mankind gives me hope.
